Questions about user rights, dashboard widgets and the drill

#1

We have a few questions, using the Enterprise Edition.

  1. In the “users” feature of Countly I can lock down the ability for users to only see the Overview, but the user still has the ability to “Create a Dashboard”. Is there any way to remove that functionality and only allow users the ability to view the dashboards we create for them?

  2. Dashboards:
Can we adjust the modules on the dashboard to show more values represented?
For example the devices bar chart only shows iPhones and doesn’t leave room for Android devices?

Some dashboard graphs only show the top 10 AppBlocks, can it show ALL app blocks in the dashboard or is it limited to just 10?

Are there plans to offer the following kinds of options to view data on the dashboards:
i. Users Report: Total, new users, returning users?
ii. Session Report: Total, new users, returning users?
iii. Average user per session report
iv. User loyalty on the dashboard?
v. Session duration on the dashboard?
vi. Can you show URL values on the dashboard?

  1. Can we use Drill to drill for unique users per event?

Hello,

  1. Currently not possible out of the box. If you have your own instance, you can inject javascript through theme to show/hide that section from specific users. Like always redirect user to custom dashboard view, etc.
  2. Currently the limits are hardcoded, mostly to ensure that custom dashboard, which aggregates data from lots of different sources, would still be performant and properly functioning. For now, we don't have anything in the roadmap to change that. In most cases I guess is shows segments with top users or sessions.

Currently none of your mentioned reports are in roadmap. But we are adding more and more widget types with every release.
Can you elaborate more on vi. Can you show URL values on the dashboard?

  1. there are switches in the top of drill section to display either users or times. But you can also view user list of users who did these segmented actions under Action button -> View user list

Arturs,

Regarding this answer to #1:

  1. Currently not possible out of the box. If you have your own instance, you can inject javascript through theme to show/hide that section from specific users. Like always redirect user to custom dashboard view, etc.

Do you all have any code or experience doing something like this or can point us in a direction of how to handle this on our instance of Countly?

Thanks,
