Unity3D Countly SDK seems to have a statistical bug?

Recently used for a period of time Unity3D Countly SDK found that there are no new users, accumulated users, each software package, there will be only one new user, accumulated users. After I use the official SDK parameter settings, what about packaging? Is this question the SDK reason or not set correctly?

We are mostly done with features and testing with Android & iOS platforms. Unfortunately I cannot provide you a deadline or timeline for this. But we will most likely release by next month.

As I'm also working with Unity - is there an updated rough estimation when to expect the plugin? :slight_smile:

Just downloaded the repo you have set up, which already allows to send quite a bit (even if not everything is set up properly etc. pp.). What more features are to be expected in the "finalised" version of the Unity SDK?

@Stoffel almost everything our native SDKs have, will be present in Unity SDK, e.g push notifications, automated/manual crash reporting, automated/manual session handling, custom events with count, sum and duration, timed events, views, user profiles (for Enterprise Edition customers), changing device ID/merging user data etc. SDK will be available soon on Unity store.

That sounds very promising :slight_smile: as you mentioned only Android and iOS before - do you also plan to include Windows Universal (UWP) within the Unity Plugin or would that need to be added through https requests?

Not in this release (since we are testing and about to release), but can do it in next release.

Hi @stoffel - we have our package in repo (https://github.com/Countly/countly-sdk-unity) and corresponding documentation is also there (https://github.com/Countly/countly-sdk-unity/blob/master/Assets/Unity%203D%20SDK%20Documentation.docx) .. I am about to complete this documentation to move to resources.count.ly web site.. Probably will take 1-2 days more :slight_smile:

Hey @gorkem, finally found some time to take a look at the Unity plugin. I'm a bit confused about the usage of google firebase - is this a requirement for all functions in the plugin or just for the push notifications? And if so, can I remove everything firebase/google safely if I don't require them?

Hello! Glad you are back here again taking a look at the plugin. Firebase is used for FCM. If you don't require them, you can remove them.

Hey @gorkem , thanks a lot for the quick replies - the plugin now works mostly quite well :slight_smile:

I still have two questions:

  • how does Countly-Unity handle if the user is offline for a period of time a goes back online again - will the things that should have been send to the server, but couldn't because of missing connection, be send when he is back on again? Currently I can't get it to work like this, but I might have set something up wrong of course.
  • I tried using the method "ReportView" in the "Testing" script you added to the plugin, but for some reason the views newer show up on the server (Analytics->Views), is there something that needs to be done for this? It seems to work otherwise as expected, I see when I go online with the device and the crashes/error logs get send with breadcrumbs etc.
